Product & Quality
What is ceremonial grade matcha?
Ceremonial grade matcha is the highest quality matcha available. It is made from the youngest tea leaves, stone-ground into a fine powder, and traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies. It has a naturally sweet, umami-rich flavour with minimal bitterness — perfect for drinking on its own with water.
Where is your matcha sourced from?
Our matcha is sourced from selected tea farms in Japan.
Does your matcha contain any additives or preservatives?
No. Our matcha is 100% pure stone-ground green tea with nothing added. What you receive is exactly what was harvested and ground at the source.

Preparation & Usage
How do I prepare ceremonial matcha?
For the best experience, sift 1–2 teaspoons (2–4g) of matcha into a bowl. Add a small amount of hot water (around 70–80°C — not boiling) and whisk in a W or M motion using a bamboo whisk (chasen) until frothy. Top with more water or your preferred milk to taste.
Can I use matcha in recipes?
Absolutely. While ceremonial grade matcha is best enjoyed as a traditional tea, it also works beautifully in lattes, smoothies, baked goods, and desserts. Its vibrant colour and rich flavour elevate any recipe.
How should I store my matcha?
Store your matcha in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Once opened, we recommend keeping it in an airtight container and using it within 4–6 weeks for optimal freshness and flavour.
